PhD in Behavioural Ecotoxicology

• Student will enroll in the PhD program in the Department of Biology
• Student will conduct research on the effects of petrochemicals on behaviour of aquatic vertebrates
• Research will be based at a new outdoor ecotoxicological facility at the Queen’s University Biological Station
• Assets: knowledge of animal behaviour, aquatic ecology, and/or ecotoxicology; training in statistics; scientific writing skills
• Guaranteed stipend: $24,300/yr

MES in Contaminant Biogeochemistry

• Student will enroll in the 20-month Master’s of Environmental Studies program (6 courses and a report)
• Student will analyze an existing data set on the environmental fate of a contaminant in freshwater lakes
• Assets: interest in environmental chemistry, limnology, and/or ecotoxicology; training in statistics; scientific writing skills
• Guaranteed stipend: $14,000/yr
